Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's practice in law is focused on family law. She has a love for it. She focuses her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes, marital property division and child custody battles as well as child support arrangements. She also handles post-divorce enforcement and post-divorce issues, step-parent adoptions and private adoptions at parties as and concerns regarding child welfare. In addition to family law, Ashley also handles estate planning issues, such as trusts, wills, probate, and estate administration, as well as commercial contract, civil litigation cases. Ashley has been as a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019 and assists parties in helping them resolve their disputes without the needing to litigate or court involvement. In addition to mediation mandated by the court, Ashley also mediates in private matters for those who would like to avoid the court process and litigation.

After finishing her undergraduate education at Loyola University of Maryland, where she earned two Bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. After graduating in 2013, she excelled academically, ranking among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was a Note Editor for the Western New England Law Review during her time at law school. This demonstrated her commitment to scholarship and legal research.

Ashley began her clerkship journey after completing her law degree. She worked for notable jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to serve as a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. Subsequently, in 2014 she returned to her hometown of Hagerstown to clerk for the Honorable M. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. As an associate attorney. Her main focus at the firm was representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases concerning child welfare. Ashley's dedicated efforts contributed greatly to helping children who suffered abuse or negligence at the hands their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to social justice went beyond the legal realm as she actively served as an officer of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force and worked tirelessly to educate the public about human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the fields of family law such as divorce child support, custody, and guardianships - as well as estate planning, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy - and mediation.

Ashley established Wilburn Law Office, LLC, in 2023, with an intention to provide an individual approach to each client's needs.
